Boys Youth Programs

We offer the following programs for boys in grades 1 through 8. The program is based on strictly on grade level,  and we do not move younger boys up into older programs.

  • U14 Senior Youth (7th/8th grade) - $450
  • U12 Junior Youth (5th/6th grade) - $350
  • U10 Bantam Youth (3rd/4th grade) - $300
  • U8 Youth (1st/2nd grade) - $165

The lacrosse season starts with indoor practices in March. The number of practices per week depends on the program and the indoor facilities that are available.

Boys Lacrosse Equipment

Boys must have the proper equipment as stated by US Lacrosse.

  • Helmet (white is preferred, as that is what they will use in HS)
  • Mouth guard
  • Chest pad that meets current NOCSCAE standards
  • Protective cup
  • Arm/elbow pads
  • Gloves
  • Cleats
  • Complete stick for the position played

See page 3 of the US Lacrosse guide for fit requirements

Goalies require additional equipment noted on page 4 of  the US Lacrosse guide for fit requirements

You may purchase equipment at most local sporting goods stores such as Hot 4 Lax, Burghardt's, LaxShack and Dicks, as well as many online retailers.  Additionally, Hot 4 Lax rents boys equipment by the season.

Playing Multiple Sports

We encourage kids to play other sports to become well-rounded athletes.  Please speak with the Boys Youth Director and your coach if participating in other sports or activities during preseason.

School Sport/Classic 8

WIAA voted Dec 2022 to make lacrosse a high school sanctioned sport starting the 2024 spring season.  To register your child for lacrosse at Mukwonago High School visit

Players from Outside the Mukwonago School District

If there is no lacrosse club in your area, you may co-op with a team that is closest to your district.   The boundary rules are very strict and vary between the youth and high school programs.  Please contact the director of the program to find out if we co-op with your area.

Coach Training

All of our coaches are at a minimum, Level I certified through USA Lacrosse Training Programs.  Many of our coaches are Level II certified, have previous lacrosse experience (coaching or playing), and participate in developmental training each year.
